About Japan-ASEAN Cooperation
Japan and ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations), which consists of ten Southeast Asian nations, have built a cooperative partnership for peace and stability, as well as development and prosperity in the region for more than 30 years. Japan and ASEAN also have built close relations as business partners. Japan considers that a more closely integrated ASEAN functioning as a hub of regional cooperation is important for the stability and prosperity of Japan, ASEAN and all of East Asia, so we fully support the ASEAN’s efforts to enhance its connectivity.
