Commemorating the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation
JENESYS U-17 Women’s Football Memorial Cup (Overview)

The JENESYS U-17 Women's Football Memorial Cup, a project commemorating the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, will be held from March 16 to March 21 at the Uruma Gushikawa Multipurpose Baseball Ground ( inside of Uruma Gushikawa Athletic Park ) in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture. The outline of the event is as follows.
- This project aims to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the youths of Japan and ASEAN by inviting U-17 women's football players from nine ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste through football exchange and friendly matches with a total of 12 teams, including the U-16 Japanese women's national team and the U-17 Japanese women's team selected from Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture. The ASEAN youth will also experience Ryukyuan culture, and watch an international football match in Tokyo.
- Guests of honor at the commemorative event will include former Nadeshiko Japan national women’s football team members Ms. SAWA Homare and Ms. Miyama Aya, as well as officials from ASEAN Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Okinawa Liaison Office), Uruma City (Okinawa Prefecture), Japan Football Association, and Japan International Cooperation Center.
