Attendance of State Minister HORII at the Reception of the ASEAN-Japan Youth Forum TASC2023

On November 24, 2023, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for foreign affairs of Japan attended the reception of the ASEAN-Japan Youth Forum TASC2023 commemorating the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation organized by the Japan Foundation. The overview of the reception is as follows:
- State Minister HORII delivered a speech to approximately 80 participants, including about 30 students from top universities in each country of the ASEAN University Network, members of the diplomatic corps and officials from the Japan Foundation and the Kamenori Foundation.
- State Minister HORII stated that the foundation of the Japan-ASEAN relations is nothing less than trust and respect built up through exchanges among people in all walks of life. State Minister HORII also stated that the leaders of Japan and ASEAN would jointly set out a vision for co-creating a new era together, and hand down the “heart-to-heart” partnership to the next generation, on the occasion of Commemorative Summit meeting to be held in Tokyo in December.
- To the participants who have been engaged in intensive discussions on the theme of "Envisioning a better world in 2050" for the last five months and announced their action plan, State Minister HORII expressed his sincere hope that "Golden Friendship" nurtured through this project will be continued and that they will be successful as leaders of the next generation.
