Recognized as Excellent Foreign Construction Worker

Since accepting an initial group of four trainees in 2011, Yamacon, a major concrete pumping company in Yamagata city, has accepted a total of 53 Vietnamese technical intern trainees as of 2018.
Technical intern trainees work at various construction sites, and now-a-days, they are highly reputed as work-ready human resources. Mr. Hoang Dinh Hoang, now a leader in his field, is one of them who went on to win the Excellent Foreign Construction Worker award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in March 2018.
Mr. Hoang Dinh Hoang was born near Hanoi and came to Japan in 2011 with Yamacon’s first group of interns. He returned to Viet Nam in 2014 after completing three years of training. After his return, he mainly worked as a concrete pump truck operator using the skills gained through his training in Japan. In May 2016, he came back to Japan to further improve his skills – this time, as a construction worker.
In addition to the Technical Intern Training Program, the Foreign Construction Worker Acceptance Program was introduced as a fixed term measure in effect from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2023. Those who complete the Technical Intern Training Program are granted a two-year residential status. Meanwhile, those who have returned to their home country for a period of at least one year after Program completion may work for three years in Japan.
