	● Demonstrate, systematize and disseminate low-cost high-yield and sustainable ways of rice farming,utilizing areas that have high rice productivity potential, named “inland valleys”		Provide budget to AfricaRice Trust Fund FY 2009-2013 (¥64 million for FY 2009)
	● Improvement of soil fertility with use of indigenous resources in rice systems of sub-sahara africa		Developing sustainable technology options for soil fertility improvement (¥25 million for FY 2009)
