Attendance at the Japan-Australia-India-U.S. (Quad) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
(June 30-July 2, 2025)

From June 30 to July 2, Foreign Minister IWAYA visited Washington, D.C., and attended the Japan-Australia-India-U.S. (Quad) Foreign Ministers' Meeting on July 1st.

During his visit, Minister IWAYA also held a bilateral meeting with the Honorable Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States of America.

Foreign Minister IWAYA visited The Hague, the Kingdom of Netherlands, from June 24 to 26, on the occasion of the NATO Summit Meeting. In The Hague, he held talks with the NATO Secretary General and various countries, including the G7, and discussed important current international issues.

From April 25 to May 4, Foreign Minister IWAYA visited Vatican City, the United States (New York), Senegal, Saudi Arabia, and France.

In Vatican City, Minister IWAYA attended the funeral for His Holiness Pope Francis on behalf of the Government of Japan. In the United States (New York), Minister IWAYA delivered a statement at the General Debate of the Third Session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2026 Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Minister IWAYA also held Foreign Ministers' meetings and other meetings in Senegal, Saudi Arabia, and France.
