From September 23 to 24, Foreign Minister Kamikawa visited New York, U.S., to attend events related to the High-level Week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly.

While in New York, Minister Kamikawa attended the Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the G4 countries on United Nations Security Council Reform and other meetings, and exchanged opinions with foreign ministers of other countries.

From September 4 to 6, Foreign Minister Kamikawa visited Australia.
On September 5, Foreign Minister Kamikawa and Mr. KIHARA Minoru, Minister of Defence of Japan, held the eleventh Japan-Australia 2+2 Foreign and Defence Ministerial Meeting with the Hon. Richard Marles MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of the Commonwealth of Australia and Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Also, Minister Kamikawa held Japan-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Working Dinner with Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia.

• Foreign Minister Kamikawa Visits Australia / Japan-Australia 2+2 Foreign and Defence Ministerial Meeting (September 4-6, 2024)

From August 19 to 21, Foreign Minister Kamikawa visited India.
On August 20, Foreign Minister Kamikawa and Mr. KIHARA Minoru, Minister of Defense of Japan, held the third Japan-India 2+2 Foreign and Defence Ministerial Meeting with H.E. Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, and H.E. Mr. Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defence of India.
Also, on August 20th, Minister Kamikawa held the 17th Japan-India Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with H.E. Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India.
