Six proposals have been submitted to the ILO-COOP Africa Secretariat through the OVOP Kenya for the financial and technical assistance by ILO COOP Africa Challenge Fund to improve their prodction/business activities under the JICA's OVOP Initiative in Kenya.

Current Status of Implementation 2008
- Status
- (i) A sub-regional seminar to link cooperatives with OVOP was held at ILO Tanzania Office from 21 to 22 August 2008. The JICA Malawi OVOP expert familiarized cooperative leaders and government officials from four East African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi) with OVOP concepts.
(ii) The four countries prepared action plans to introduce OVOP to their cooperative systems, possibly with JICA’s technical support.
