Awards are made once a year so that all applicants compete on an equal basis. Program announcements and application forms for the above programs can be obtained from The Japan Foundation New York or Los Angeles Offices, or the nearest Consulate-General or Embassy of Japan. (Addresses are listed on the following page.) Applications are forwarded by these Regional offices and Japanese missions to the Foundation headquarters in Tokyo for review.
Completed applications must be received no later than December 1, 1995.
Any applications received after that date will not be considered. Applicants
should initiate correspondence relevant to any application as far in advance
of the December I deadline as possible. When making a request, applicants
should specify to which program(s) they are applying. (November I programs
have a different application procedure. Please refer to page 2.)

to their local Consulates-General of Japan or to the Embassy of Japan.
Applicants can expect to be notified of the screening results in April 1996.
