Current Status of Implementation 2009

- Uganda/Kenya/Tanzania/Nigeria/Malawi/Madagascar/Senegal/Eritrea/Morocco/Mali/Benin/Burkina Faso/Niger/Burundi/DRC

- (1) With assistance from JICA, each country of the English speaking group started a pilot project for service improvement at hospitals, upon completion of the follow-up training in Japan in September 2009. (2) With assistance from JICA, each country of the French speaking group started a project to introduce the system for the improvement of work environment at pilot hospitals following the mid-term seminar (in Japan and Sri Lanka) in Aug. 2009.

- (i) With assistance from JICA, each country of the English speaking group (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Malawi, Madagascar, Senegal, Eritrea) started a project to introduce the system for the improvement of work environment at pilot hospitals and the results were presented at the final seminar in Egypt in Nov. 2008 and (ii) With assistance from JICA, each country of the French speaking group (Morocco, Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Brundi, DRC) participated in the introduction seminar in Japan and Sri Lanka in March 2009.
