- On-going (a) A strategy for creating the Africa-Asia Development University Network (AADUN) was formulated and a charter for its Research Council was prepared and agreed among representatives of universities and research institutions from the following African countries (Algeria, Mauritius, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia) and Asian countries (India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand). (b) The Secretariat was set up by the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. (c) A Web site is being created to start an interactive communication mechanism among all participants.
