- (i) Intensive technical support was provided to 6 countries to implement large-scale activities to promote literacy (Egypt, Mauritania, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania) (ii) 22 countries listed above are implementing LIFE at different levels: situation analysis, policy development, programme design. - (i) To implement large-scale activities at national level, proposal was submitted by 14 countries in September 2008 for consideration by UNESCO extra-budgetary financial support, (ii) a LIFE Resource Pack was produced by UIL., and (iii) Series of inter-country workshops and research activities were organized by UIL and/or BREDA.
