Foreign Minister Kono Holds Lunch Meeting with Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates
On August 10, commencing at 1 p.m. for approximately one hour, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a lunch meeting with H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company(ADNOC) . The overview of the meeting is as follows.
1. Foreign Minister Kono expressed that he was delighted to see with Minister Al Jaber again and stated that he would like to further enhance bilateral relations by following up the outcomes of the visit of Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, to the United Arab Emirates in April this year through the 1st meeting of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative (CSPI), which was held yesterday between Minister Al Jaber and Mr. Masahisa Sato, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, and other frameworks.
2. Minister Al Jaber responded that the bilateral ties are being enhanced beyond energy in a comprehensive manner, and UAE would like to further promote bilateral cooperation.
