Foreign Minister Kono Receives a Courtesy Call from Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates

On February 1, commencing at 12:15 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company(ADNOC) . The overview of the meeting is as follows.
1. Foreign Minister Kono welcomed the visit of Minister Al Jaber and stated that he would like to continue to discuss the ways of deepening the bilateral relationship. Minister Al Jaber responded that the UAE appreciates the strategic and solid partnership with Japan, and that he wishes to enhance the bilateral relationnship.
2. Both ministers exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East including Yemen.
