Sport Exchange

Sport plays an important role in promoting international exchange and mutual understanding beyond borders, language and race. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs makes an effort to promote understanding and trust toward Japan and to cultivate supporters and experts of Japan through international exchange in sports field, especially traditional sports such as Judo, Kendo and Karate. And also, the Ministry supports activities to host large scale international sport games such as the Olympic Games and the Soccer World Cup.
