(photo1) Foreign Minister Kono hosted a gathering at the Tokyo Race Course on the occasion of the Victoria Mile
  1. On May 12, Foreign Minister Kono and his wife, in cooperation with the Japan Racing Association (JRA), invited H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, the Foreign Minister of Thailand, as well as the Ambassadors from the countries/region which have close ties with Japan in horse racing, to the Tokyo Race Course on the occasion of the Grade 1 flat horse race, the Victoria Mile.
  2. The event contributed to deepening friendship among Japan and all of the 16 countries/region (Argentine, Australia, Chile, Germany, UK, Ireland, Peru, UAE, U.S.A., Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Hong Kong) over horse racing.
  3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is determined to further promote international relations in such new spheres as horse racing
