- (i)ICHARM invited a head of hydrology office, Ministry of water resource of Ethiopia to the 1-year Master's course "Water-related Risk Management Course of Disaster Management Policy Program" which is implemented in collaboration with GRIPS and JICA. (ii)To promote flood countermeasures in her country, she is expected to write an "Action Plan" based on the concept of integrated river basin management.

- (a) ICHARM and Infrastructure Development Institute Japan (IDI) jointly organized the training workshop in coraboration with WMO, to study applicability of the Global Flood Alert System (GFAS) and the Integrated Flood Analysis System (IFAS), and (b) Two persons from Ethiopia and Zambia were invited for this workshop.
