(ii) Guinea Bissau, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire: UNV support to Youth Ambassador for Peace Project with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) (US$ 0.8 million) : MOU signed, ADB’s resource mobilized, project strategies and administrative manual established for commencing pilot phase activities
(iii) Liberia: UNV support to Pilot National Youth Volunteer Service (US$1.66million): pilot project sites expanded from 4 to 6.
(iv) Deployment of UNV volunteers to the 10 UN Special Political missions and PKO missions in Africa (as of August 2009: 1,899 UNV volunteers deployed.)
