- The Project on the transferring of technology on the production of antimalarial drugs in Burundi is divided into 3 phases :
(i) First phase (10-17 May 08) - Fact-finding, (ii) Second phase (11-26 July 08) - Technology trasferring to 8 Burundi officers at the National Institute of Public Health to produce artesunate suppositories, and (iii) Third phase (23 Aug-22 Sep. 08) - Technology trasferring to 5 Burundi officers at the National Institute of Public Health to produce artesunate tablets and amodiaquine tablets which are later named after Thailand and Burundi as “THAIBURAR” and “THAIBURAM” successively.
