(*)EC commitments comprised 1 billion for the European Commission and 1 billion for the EU Member states. On the basis of the most recent figures which relate now to 2007, the Commission has for the first time exceeded this objective of 1 bln in 2007. 40 % thereof was for ACP countries, an increase from the 36% average over 2001-2006. No figures are available yet for the Member states.
