The second meeting under “Strategic Partnership Framework between Japan and MERCOSUR”

On March 25 (same day local time), Japan and Mercosur will hold the second meeting under "Strategic Partnership Framework between Japan and MERCOSUR" in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where the 14th World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference (MC14) will be held.
- The framework was officially launched between Japan and Mercosur on December 20, 2025, and two sides held the first meeting On January 27 of this year.
- The second meeting will be held with the attendance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and other relevant ministries (the head of delegation is Mr. ISHIZE Motoyuki, Director-General of the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Japan and Mercosur will discuss cooperation in a wide range of fields, such as trade and investment, to deepen the economic relations.
