Foreign Minister Kono Attends the Ninth Japan-China-ROK Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

1. From August 20 to August 22, Mr. Kono Taro, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will visit China to attend the Ninth Japan-China-ROK Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
2. The meeting will be chaired by H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Ms. Kang Kyung-wha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK is also scheduled to attend.
3. At the meeting, the ministers will review the progress of Japan-China-ROK cooperation in various fields, and discuss regional and global issues.
4. Bilateral foreign ministers’ meetings with China and ROK are also being coordinated.
