The 7th Annual Japan-UK Nuclear Dialogue

1. On October 25 and 26, the seventh Annual Japan-UK Nuclear Dialogue was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, co-chaired by Mr. Masahiro Kawasaki, Deputy Director-General , Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Professor Robin Grimes, Advisor, Her Majesty’s Government.
2. The Dialogue discussed a range of subjects relevant to nuclear policy including nuclear research and development, decommissioning and decontamination, and nuclear safety and regulation.
Participants reaffirmed the usefulness of sharing each other’s efforts and experiences, and shared the intention to continue Japan-UK cooperation in civil nuclear energy area.
