Grand Opening of Japan House Los Angeles
1. The entire facility of Japan House Los Angeles, which parcially opened in December 2017, is to be opened on August 24, 2018. The grand opening celebration is scheduled on the same day, followed by the full-scale public opening from August 25, 2018.
2. Japan House Los Angeles occupies the second and the fifth floors of the Hollywood & Highland Center, an entertainment complex located in the center of Hollywood. The fifth floor section that opens this time contains a library and a multipurpose space, as well as a restaurant. The multipurpose space and restaurant will be used in combination to host various events proactively that will center on cuisine with an “All-Japan” approach by coordinating with Japan’s various regional actors, organizations, and the local Japanese community.
3. Conveying Japan’s diverse atractiveness and policies at Japan House Los Angeles is expected to contribute to deeper understanding and wider empathy towards Japan. The various events and future approaches will be on the Japan House Los Angeles’ website
upon the grand opening.
