Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia to visit Japan

1. The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan on January 18.

2. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Turnbull and host a dinner in his honor.

3. It is expected that this visit will further enhance the “Special Strategic Partnership” between Japan and the Commonwealth of Australia.

(1) Prime Minister Turnbull paid an Official Working Visit to Japan in December 2015.

(2) Prime Minister Turnbull had a meeting with Prime Minister Abe most recently in November 2017 on the occasion of the ASEAN-related Summit Meeting.
