Message of condolence by Foreign Minister Taro Kono following the damage caused by the Hurricane “Irma” disaster in the Republic of Cuba

The Republic of Cuba is suffering from disaster caused by the passage of Hurricane “Irma” from September 8 to 10. On Thursday, September 14, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered the following message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
- I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Government and the people of Cuba regarding the damage inflicted by the Hurricane “Irma” disaster in the Republic of Cuba.
- The Government of Japan stands ready to provide any assistance that Cuba needs.
- I would like to offer my prayers for the victims as well as the prompt restoration of the affected area.
