(1) Ms. Machiko SATONAKA: From Osaka Prefecture
Debuted as a professional MANGA artist in 1964 when she was still a high school student.
Her representative works include “Ariesu no otome tachi” and “Tenjo no niji.”
She is also actively engaged in other activities than creating new works, such as serving as a permanent member of the Board of Directors of the Japan Cartoonists Association.

(2) Mr. Yoshimi KURATA: From Akita Prefecture
Became an apprentice of Mr. Tetsuya CHIBA after graduation from high school.
Debuted as a professional MANGA artist in 1978.
His representative works include “Aji ichi momme.”
He is currently putting great effort into raising MANGA artists of younger generations from Japan and abroad.

(3) Ms. Kimie SHIGA: From Kanagawa Prefecture
Debuted as a professional MANGA artist in 1967.
Her representative works include “Sumasshu wo kimero” and “Nijiko rarabai.”
She is currently serving as Director of Department of Manga at the Kyoto University of Art & Design.

(4) Mr. Akira HIROTA: From Osaka Prefecture
Following graduation from university, joined Recruit Co., Ltd. and MEDIA FACTORY, INC. Served as the Editor-in-Chief of “Comic Alpha.” Worked with many MANGA artists such as Mr. Shotaro ISHINOMORI.
Currently serving as the representative of Sea Ends Co., Ltd. Also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of “Mangattan,” a manga information magazine for rebuilding of Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

(5) Mr. Tsutomu FUJITA: From Hyogo Prefecture
Joined Kodansha Company Ltd. after graduation from a university. Served as an editor of “Kiss,” a manga magazine for girls and women and also served as the Editor-in-Chief of “Dessert.” He has had a long career as an editor of manga magazines, mainly those for girls and women.
