It means that all people are protected from financial risk by being able to receive quality-assured health services at affordable prices. The SDGs' target 3.8 defines the goals for the international community to achieve, and Japan is also working toward UHC.

Answer

Japan has been leading discussions in the international community on promoting UHC and other topics related to the health sector, in forums including the G7 Ise-Shima Summit in 2016, the G20 Osaka Summit, and TICAD 7 in 2019. It will continue to strive toward achieving UHC in cooperation with the international community.
