Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

The Joint Committee under the Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Indonesia for an Economic Partnership (JIEPA) was held in November 2022. The Committee decided to start implementing the certificate of origin data exchange in the near future to increase the convenience of traders and facilitate trade between both countries.

The Committee also adopted the modified Operational Procedures referred to in Chapter 2 (Trade in Goods) and Chapter 3 (Rules of Origin) for this purpose. The date of implementation is May 1, 2023.
