  1. On November 30, Mr. SHIMADA Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the award ceremony for the 45th Japan Cup race held at Tokyo Racecourse.
  2. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Shimada presented the Foreign Minister's Award to the owner of the winning horse, Calandagan.
  3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided official backing for the Japan Cup since its second edition in 1982, and has awarded the Minister for Foreign Affairs Prize.
