Parliamentary Vice-Minister KOMURA is delivering his speech before the participants

On 17 October, Parliamentary Vice-Minister KOMURA Masahiro hosted a welcome reception for the participants of the 2024-2025 Japanese-Language Program for Foreign Service Officers and Public Officials.

  1. Parliamentary Vice-Minister KOMURA, in his opening speech, stated that the participants would learn Japanese language and culture through this program and would become foreign service officers and public officials playing an active role globally as experts on Japan in the future. Mr.Komura also said that the knowledge and networking they would gain through this program would certainly be useful in their duties and expressed his hope that the participants would have a fulfilling time in Japan.
  2. H.E. Mr. Richard Moi LEMOSHIRA, Ambassador-Designate of Kenya to Japan, who is an alumnus of the course, and Mr. SHIMOYAMA Masaya, Executive Vice President of the Japan Foundation, which operats the course, spoke respectively of the importance of this long-standing program, and welcomed and encouraged all the participants, wishing them success through their training.
  3. On behalf of the participants, Mr. NAVARRO NAVARRO Jose Alberto, a diplomat from the United Mexican States, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Japan Foundation for organising this program and his enthusiasm for the next eight months program.
