  1. The second meeting of the Advisory Panel on Climate Change with the attendance of Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs was held on February 19, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This meeting makes the eighth meeting of the Advisory Panel where panel members exchanged views with guest speakers from business sectors actors on climate change issue.
  2. At this meeting, after the opening remarks from Minister Kono and the remarks from Takejiro Sueyoshi, Special Advisor to UNEP-FI in the Asia Pacific region, members of the Advisory panel on Climate Change submitted the recommendation about energy to Minister Kono.
  3. Receiving the recommendation, Minister Kono expressed his appreciation to members of the Advisory panel on their active discussion and also mentioned that Ministry of Foreign Affairs constantly address energy and climate change diplomacy positively.
  4. After the next meeting, Mr. Hideo Suzuki, Director-General for Global Issues and members of the Advisory panel on Climate Change will have several meetings in March.
