1.. On June 4, 2014 the Republic of Poland marks 25 years since first partly free elections were held in the country. The Government of the Republic of Poland commemorates this 25 years anniversary as Freedom and Civil Rights Day and held a series of celebrations.

2. On June 3, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a message to H.E. Mr. Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, in which Prime Minister Abe celebrates 25 years anniversary of Democratization in Poland and stated that Poland regained fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and rule of law through the activities of "solidarity" and now has playing an important role in the international community as a "leader of Central and Eastern Europe". PM Abe also stated that Japan would work together with Poland as a very important partner who shares fundamental values in order to solve global issues.
