Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

On November 29, 2024, the Joint Committee under the Agreement between Japan and the Kingdom of Thailand for an Economic Partnership (JTEPA) decided to start implementing the certificate of origin data exchange in the near future to increase the convenience of traders and facilitate trade between both countries.
The Committee also adopted the modified Operational Procedures referred to in Chapter 2 (Trade in Goods) and Chapter 3 (Rules of Origin) (PDF) Open a New Window for this purpose. The date of implementation is March 28, 2025 for imports from Thailand to Japan and June 2, 2025 for export from Japan to Thailand.
