Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Ahmet ÜZÜMCÜ, Director-General, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)

  1. H.E. Mr. Ahmet Üzümcü, Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons(OPCW), will visit Japan from December 15 (Wed) to 19(Sun) as a Guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  2. During his stay, Director-General Üzümcü will meet Mr. Seiji Maehara, Minister for Foreign Affairs and other Japanese high-ranked government officials. He is also scheduled to give a speech at Keio University.

  3. It is expected that Director-General Üzümcü's visit to Japan will further deepen the cooperative relationship between Japan and the OPCW.

  4. This is his first visit to Japan since assuming office in July of this year.
