The Third Round of Negotiations of the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

1. The third round of negotiations of the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP) Agreement will be held from April 10 (Mon) to 12 (Wed) in Tokyo.
2. The negotiations will be attended on the Japanese side by the officials concerned of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; and on the ASEAN side by representatives of the Member Countries.
3. At the negotiations, the participants will discuss such issues as the structure of the AJCEP Agreement and its draft. Besides a plenary meeting, bilateral consultations (with Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar) will also be held during the negotiations.
