    This brochure provides a clear introduction to the current situation in Africa, the relationship between Japan and Africa, and TICAD.
  • “The ABE Initiative” (International Development Journal) (PDF) Open a New Window
    The ABE Initiative is the program launched at TICAD V in 2013 and has been implemented aiming at developing African industrial human resources. This program has provided youth from Africa with opportunities to pursue master’s degrees at Japanese universities, business programs such as internships at Japanese companies, Japanese language training, and business skills training through JICA. It has also provided training to foster future leaders at worksites such as foremen and plant managers through AOTS since 2016.
