From July 21 to 24, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Manila, the capital of the Philippines, to attend ASEAN-related foreign ministers’ meetings (the Japan-ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the 16th East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).

Foreign Minister MOTEGI also took this opportunity to attend the Mekong-Japan Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the Fifth Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD), as well as to hold bilateral meetings with representatives from various countries.

From July 6 to 9, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Ankara, Türkiye to attend an NATO Summit-related event.

On this occasion, Minister MOTEGI held meetings with foreign ministers and other counterparts of NATO member countries, as well as partner countries and organizations, to reaffirm the shared recognition that the security of the Euro-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific is inseparable.

• Foreign Minister MOTEGI’s Visit to Türkiye on the occasion of the NATO Summit (July 6–9, 2026)

From May 25th to 27th, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Delhi, India, to attend the Japan-U.S.-Australia-India (Quad) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

During this visit, he also held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of each country.
