Attendance at the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting
(November 11-12, 2025)
Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Canada from 11th to 12th November to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Niagara.
The G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting was hosted by Canada, the G7 chair country for this year, and candid exchanges of views were held among the G7 foreign ministers on major issues facing the international community.
During this visit, Minister MOTGI also held bilateral meetings.
Attendance at the APEC Ministerial Meeting 2025 (October 29-31, 2025)
APEC Ministerial Meeting 2025
From October 29th to 31st, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited the Republic of Korea to attend the APEC Ministerial Meeting in Gyeongju.
At the meeting, Minister MOTEGI discussed issues related to trade and investment as well as emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI) and demographic changes.
On this occasion, Minister MOTEGI also held bilateral meetings with other ministers from other economies, including the Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, to exchange views on bilateral relations, regional and international affairs, among other topics.
Attendance at ASEAN-related Summit Meetings
(September 26-28, 2025)
From October 26th to 28th, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to attend the ASEAN+3 Summit, the East Asia Summit (EAS), and the RCEP Summit.
Through these meetings, Minister promoted the "Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)" and further strengthened cooperation with ASEAN, which is a "Trusted Partner" and a key to realizing FOIP.
