Visit to Zambia, Angola, Kenya and the Republic of South Africa
(April 29-May 6, 2026)

From April 29 to May 6, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Zambia, Angola, Kenya and the Republic of South Africa.

During this visit, he exchanged views with foreign ministers and other leaders on bilateral cooperation—including economic ties such as strengthening supply chains for critical minerals—as well as cooperation in international fora to maintain and strengthen a free and open international order based on the rule of law. He reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening relations with African partners in “co-creating” the future.

From March 25th to 29th, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay in the Yvelines Department of France, to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting.

At the meeting, Minister MOTEGI discussed various issues facing the international community with the foreign ministers of other G7 countries.

On this occasion, Minister MOTEGI also held bilateral meetings with other ministers.

(February 13-16, 2026)

Foreign Minister Motegi during the Munich Security Conference

From February 13th to 16th, Foreign Minister MOTEGI visited Munich, Germany, to attend the Munich Security Conference.

At the conference, he attended a panel discussion on the theme of security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

On this occasion, he also participated in the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting and held meetings with the Foreign Ministers of the United States and Germany, as well as with the NATO Secretary General.
