Invitation of High School Students from South Asia for the JENESYS Program

- Japan will invite high school students from South Asia to Japan from December 8th (Wed) to December 17th (Fri), as a part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Program.
- This time, a total of 80 participants will visit Japan, ten from each of the eight member countries of the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) : Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
- During their stay, the participants will visit Japanese high schools and experience homestays. Other activities will include Japanese history and culture experiences in Hiroshima and Kyoto. On December 16th (Thu), they will attend the Japan-SAARC High School Student Forum to be held in a hotel in Tokyo, where they will debate on environment, energy and other issues with Japanese high school students.
