(logo) Logo mark of each country
  1. We would like to announce the official logo for Japan-Southwest Asia Exchange Year 2022. In addition to the logo of the Exchange Year, logos representing the bilateral relationship between Japan and each country of Southwest Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives) will liven up the festive year.
  2. The creator of this logo is Mr. Amanuel Tesfayea from Ethiopia. Hopes for the further development of friendly ties between Japan and Southwest Asia takes shape as pigeons, symbols of peace and friendship, depicted in origami style.
  3. Use of the logos will be permitted in events endorsed as official events of the Japan-Southwest Asia Exchange Year. (Event endorsement guidelines will be uploaded on the Ministry’s homepage.)

(Note)
In 2022, Japan will celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations with Bangladesh, and 70 years with India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Japan has designated 2022 as “Japan-Southwest Asian Exchange Year,” with the aim of taking Japan’s relations with the countries of Southwest Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan) even further.
