Message of condolences from Foreign Minister MOTEGI Toshimitsu on the Typhoon TINO that hit central Philippines
On November 5, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered the following message of condolences to the Honorable Maria Theresa Lazaro, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Republic of the Philippines regarding the Typhoon TINO’s damage which hit central Philippines from November 4 to 5 (the same day local time).
“Precious lives were lost, and serious damages were brought by the typhoon that hit central Philippines. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and express my sympathy to their families.
I sincerely pray for the swift recovery of the affected people as well as the prompt restoration on the affected areas.
Japan is ready to provide support and cooperation that the Philippines need in these situations. Japan always stands with the Philippines, an important neighbor, in overcoming this time of difficulties.”
