Activities of Mrs. ISHIBA Yoshiko, the Spouse of Prime Minister of Japan in Viet Nam (April 27, 2025)
1 Visit to Thang Long Industrial Park and Roundtable Discussion with Japanese-affiliated Companies

Mrs. ISHIBA visited Thang Long Industrial Park with Prime Minister Ishiba. They visited the Canon Viet Nam factory situated within the park and held a roundtable discussion with representatives of Japanese-affiliated companies operating in the area.
2 Visit to the Vietnamese Women’s Museum

Mrs. Ishiba visited the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. Mrs. Ishiba observed an exhibition showcasing the achievements of women in Vietnamese history, as well as their unique traditional costumes and ornaments. In addition, Mrs. Ishiba received an explanation from Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the President of the Viet Nam Women’s Union, regarding the efforts to improve the status of women in Viet Nam and support for the socially vulnerable.
Mrs. Ishiba was introduced to a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV) who works at the museum and encouraged her activities.
3 Meeting with Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, Spouse of General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam


Mrs. Ishiba held talks with Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, Spouse of General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. Madam Ly welcomed Mrs. Ishiba’s visit. In response, Mrs. Ishiba expressed her gratitude to the Vietnamese government for its hospitality. She mentioned that this was her first visit to Viet Nam and that she was greatly inspired by Viet Nam's unique culture and vibrant people. They also had a cordial discussion about their careers and traditional culture, further deepening their friendship. They also experienced making traditional Vietnamese sweets together.
4 Dinner hosted by H. E. Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and his spouse Madam Ly

Mrs. Ishiba attended a dinner hosted by H. E. Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and his spouse, Madam Ly, together with Prime Minister Ishiba and deepened her relationship with them.

An industrial park established in 1997 through cooperation between Sumitomo Corporation and a Vietnamese state-owned company. The park has geographical advantage and substantial infrastructure of Japanese quality. In recent years, the park has focused on introducing clean solar power generation.
It is home to approximately 100 companies, primarily Japanese-affiliated firms.

A museum focuses on Vietnamese women, with exhibits on Vietnamese history, traditional events, national costumes and ornaments. The museum is operated by the Viet Nam Women’s Union, which promotes the advancement of women and socially vulnerable groups and gender equality through nationwide activities.
