On June 18, commencing at 2:45 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. OZAKI Masanao, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary, received a courtesy call from 64 high school students, the "Japan-Vietnam Teenage Ambassadors" of the AEON 1% Club.
- At the outset, Mr. KISHI Ryunosuke of Yokohama Science Frontier High School, delivered an address, as a representative of students. In his address, he expressed his hope that the program would help them deepen their mutual understanding of history and culture, build strong friendships, and play a part in fostering the future development of Japan-Vietnam relations.
- Furthermore, Mr. Le Tan Phat of Viet Duc High School presented Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary OZAKI with an embroidered picture of Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, symbolizing Vietnam's history, culture, and indomitable spirit.
- Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary OZAKI, while noting that Japan and Viet Nam are important partners deepening cooperation in various fields, emphasized the particular importance of exchanges among the younger generation. He expressed his hope that the participants would enjoy the exchange and become bridges of friendship between Japan and Vietnam through their experiences.

Since its establishment in 1990, the AEON 1% Club has been engaged in environmental and social contribution activities, with major companies of the AEON Group donating 1% of their pre-tax profits. Promoting friendship and goodwill with various countries is one of its activities.

An exchange program where Japanese and overseas high school students form pairs, visit each other's countries, and deepen international mutual understanding and friendship.
