Visits to the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Turkey by Mrs. Akie Abe

From April 28 to May 4, Mrs. Akie Abe visited the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Turkey accompanying Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, where she had exchanges of views with the First Ladies of the countries, met students studying the Japanese language, held meetings with people associated with the culture of Japan in each of the countries, visited women active in these countries, and had various exchanges with many other people. Mrs. Abe rejoiced to meet again with Her Highness Princess Hissa bint Trad Al-shalan of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, spouse of Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with whom she has maintained a friendship since her last visit in 2007.
