- A As mentioned above, Japan is prompting the deregulation based on opinions and requests inside and outside Japan, including those of the United States. More specifically, pertaining to the request of the United States, Japan included the deregulation plan of the following areas in the revised Deregulation Action Program: agriculture, automobiles and motorcycles, construction and construction materials, import processing, energy utilities related standards, financial services, investment, legal services, medical / pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, transportation, and competition policy.
