Demonstrated Success in Achieving Results Through Free Trade
- Q.
 - What is Japan's position regarding the extension of the Japan-United States Semiconductor Arrangement?
 - A.
 - It has been almost a decade since the Japan-United States Semiconductor Arrangement was concluded in 1986, and the Arrangement is scheduled to expire at the end of July 1996. The Arrangement has completed its role - expansion of foreign market access, and prevention of dumping. Thus, there is no need to extend or renew the Arrangement.
