First Meeting of the Sub-Committee on Improvement of the Business Environment
Agreement between Japan-Peru for an Economic Partnership

  1. On Monday November 26, the Governments of Japan and the Republic of Peru held the first meeting of the Sub-Committee on Improvement of the Business Environment for the Agreement between Japan-Peru for an Economic Partnership in Lima, the capital of Peru.
  2. From the Japanese side, Mr. Akira Yamada, Director General of the Latin American and the Caribbean Bureau, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Masahiro Fukukawa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Japan to the Republic of Peru, Mr. Osamu Tamura, Director of Latin America and Caribbean Office, Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and others attended the meeting. From the Peruvian side, Mr. Jose Luis SILVA, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Mr. Carlos POSADA, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and others attended the meeting. In addition, representatives of the private sectors in the two countries also participated in the meeting. The two sides had a frank and active exchange of views on investment environment, trade, immigration control and other issues.
