II. Project Description

Objectives: To promote awareness about the importance of developing South-South cooperation.

Activities: Program implementation of permanent development of human resources.

Number of participants: 14 countries.

Period (per week): 1 (14-18 December, 1998).

Expected Results: As a first step, this project needs to gather information about the capacity and susceptibility of countries to work with Tunisia. Then, consistency and complimentarity needs to be established.

Reference: ATCT has, since its establishment, organized its formation meetings, study tours and expert missions for the benefit of African and Arabic countries, notably in the fields of: rural development; higher agricultural education; health; the environment; urban development, and so on.

Link with the Agenda: This exercise constitutes a concrete action in support of one of the targeted Agenda items.
