II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    General objectives: Increase contribution of the forestry sector to food security through participatory approach.
    - develop inter active communication tools
    - organise training activities.
  2. Activities / contents
    Training in participatory approach
    - diagnostic studies
    - training in soil fertility improvement
    - promotion of income generating activities
    - preparation of multimedia packages
    - preparation of forestry plans.
  3. Expected outcomes/Impacts:
    Improvement in the preservation and management of natural resources
    - adoption of a participatory approach for the management of natural resources
    - identification of appropriate activities related to the forestry sector and contributing to food security.
