Objectives
To strengthen the institutional capacity building of the Organization of African Unity, to function as the secretariat of the African Economic Community (AEC), strengthen the regional economic communities, ECA sponsored institutions and other sub-regional institutions involved in the promotion of economic cooperation and integration.

- Finalized protocols and harmonized protocols between AEC and the Regional Economic Community (REC).
- Merging Proposals to institutions
- Setting up of the Resource Mobilization Committee
- OAU Resource Mobilization Unit established.

- Adoption of Protocols on relation between the AEC and the RECs
Features in line with the Agenda for Action
ECA is associated executing agency for this programme which is being implemented for the benefits of the African Region. It involves all socio-economic development sectors. The implementation will improve the overall strategies for South South Cooperation and Asian African partnerships.
